Bright Futures

Walden strongly encourages all high school students to engage in off-campus activities, including internships, volunteer opportunities, and other community events, which need to be documented in order to fulfill requirements for Bright Futures.

Courses

Walden offers all STEAM Programs (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics), Advanced Placement, and dual enrollment classes. Students are encouraged to enroll in the most rigorous curriculum for their specific needs, often an Honors or Advanced Placement curriculum.

Preparing for College

Walden's high school graduates have been accepted to Undergraduate & Graduate Programs at New College, Smith, Rollins, Stetson, Elon, McGill, FAU, William & Mary, Wake Forest, the University of Maine, the University of Richmond, Vanderbilt University, University of Maryland, University of South Florida, and more.

A young person with glasses and short dark hair, wearing a black apron over a blue T-shirt, is working on a project at a table covered with paper and models inside a classroom. The room has colorful artwork on the walls, a microwave, and a clock showing 3:10. There is a window with a view outside, and the room appears well-lit.

Flexibility

Because of our small size, we are able to be more flexible and personalized in providing a selection of courses on and off campus - online via FLVS courses and/or off campus through pre-approved accredited institutions.
